Golden thread

The golden thread is a concept introduced by the Building Safety Act 2022 for higher-risk buildings. It means keeping accurate, up-to-date information about a building’s design, construction and safety, in a form that can be accessed and understood throughout the building’s life, so the right decisions can be made to keep it safe.
