The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) is the UK's national regulator for workplace health and safety, including construction.
The HSE, or Health and Safety Executive, is the UK government body responsible for regulating and enforcing workplace health and safety. It publishes guidance, carries out inspections, investigates serious incidents, and can take enforcement action ranging from improvement notices to prosecution.
For construction, the HSE is the source of the definitive guidance behind most of the terms in this library, and the body to which RIDDOR-reportable incidents must be reported.
